Bienvenue à La Lune

Welcome to the Moon — a late-night teahouse in Berkeley, open for tea, care, and company till midnight.

In partnership with the Green Yogi.

Every cup and every conversation is opt-in. Step in, or step back to your own quiet. It’s always your call and never something you have to explain.

Consent Culture

Every table is communal and every table is optional. Join a table of strangers, keep to your own group, or settle in alone with a book. All is welcome here.

Sit Together or Don’t

Tea the traditional Chinese way: many small steepings, slow attention, flavors unfolding cup after cup.

Open till Midnight

Every Night. We keep to the hours of the moon.

How it works.

  1. Arrive and get oriented by one of our hosts.

  2. Use our community kitchen and equipment to brew your tea.

  3. Choose a table, ground and unfurl.

Our Values

Here, we practice consent, community-care, and the art of repair.

At La Lune, tea is a practice. We brew using a style called gong fu cha. It’s the art of many small steepings, each one a little different from the last. It rewards attention, slows the room down, and turns a cup of tea into a reason to stay.
